Lily Angell

I am the Lily behind Lily Of The Valley. A twenty three year old currently plotting a grand adventure to travel the world, and generally going with the flow. 

I grew up following my father's job across the world. After a nomadic upbringing of living and traveling in many different countries, I moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan to attend university. Four very quick years later, and with a degree in Anthropology packed up in a box, I moved to Brooklyn, NY to join my big sisters in the city. 

A year later and I have left Brooklyn to travel, explore and see where the wind takes me. For the summer, the wind has blown me and my light blue suitcase back to Michigan for a summer of sailing, jumping in cold, clear lakes, a trip to a remote island in Lake Superior, and most exciting, my eldest sister's wedding! Then, starting October 10th I begin approximately four months of traveling through South America. Stay Tuned! 

As the photographer, writer and curator of this space, I hope to create a place to document my life over the next couple years. To chronicle the journey, collect the memories, and record my interests. I am a classic yet mysterious scorpio with passion that often borders on obsession for interests that are many, varied and totally random. Friends know I am continuously absorbed by my newest discovery, whether it is whales, childbirth, mountaineering, living in a van, jars, or making toothpaste. I hope to collect and plant all my interests here, to document them and see them grow.

Hopefully after some years of floating around, working and living here and there, the wind will settle me in a place where I can work as a Midwife, find my dog named Goose, and make a home.
