In Norway I worked as a bread maker having never made a loaf of bread before. This piece exhibits my ability to write about and photograph food, and my ability to weave together a personal account with instructional information.
This story was created around the images included and shares the experience of a dinner I had while living in Northern Norway. Here my attention to detail is exemplified as I set the scene and atmosphere surrounding one of the most beautiful evenings of my life.
My travel logs show a writing style that balances the mundane logistics of traveling with details and personal accounts that breathe life and intrigue into getting from one place to another. Simultaneously, this piece continues to exemplify my photographic eye - I am particularly fond of the thumbnail image.
This piece follows a “guide” or “how to” format and yet my personality is very much present in the writing, in terms of my voice and the use of personal anecdotes. Here I have exemplified my ability to entertain while sharing information.
This example comes from a sustainability blog called Green Talk where I have documented my personal efforts to reduce my waste, consumerism and carbon footprint. This piece is a journal entry, a more casual piece that pays tribute to my voice as a writer and a personal passion.

A sample of photojournalism, where images take center stage and are supported by minimalist captions offering context. This piece leans more heavily on my abilities as a photographer and my understanding of crafting a story through images.
